Mac + Palm: update
==================

I just finished the second attempt  to synchronize my PalmPilot with my
Mac OS 10.5 device. The Palm is actually the PalmPilot Personal updated
to Palm  III level  (thus it  has OS 3.0.0)  and the  Mac is  the Apple
PowerBook G4 (@1.67 GHz) with the OS 10.5.8.

This  time I  used  the  PalmConnect USB/Serial  adapter.  I bought  it
because I  expected there  will be a  CD with drivers.  But in  the kit
there was none. But the  PalmDesktop 4.2.1 requires no addition drives,
just several  reboots and  re-connections of the  USB adapter.  And, of
course, the PalmConnect (and only the PalmConnect) has to be enabled in
the Hotsync Manager.

Then it just work.

But this is the  Apple so at least something has to  be strange. And it
is.  During  the first  sync  I  noticed  a  text "Updating  system  to
3.0.2...". There  were no questions of  options - it simply  decided to
update OS  on my Palm  and did the  update! Fortunately, the  Palm work
even after this update.

In other news, the Git on the SDF seems to work again...
