Since the last autumn I have been using my IRIS Indigo workstation for
Gopher browsing every Sunday. I have been using it for other activities, too
but rather randomly.
Vim for MS-DOS:
I have found the Vim 3 for the DOS. It is from 1994 and it works on my
MS-DOS 3.3 (which is a build-in OS of my PSION MC600 laptop). It is fast
enough even on the 4 MHz 8086 CPU (I run my MC on half speed for even better
battery life - 60h is a nice number). The only issue is that the Vim cannot
find the _vimrc file (it look like a problem in handling of DOS variables in
DOS 3 as in the DOSbox it works as expected).
SDF:
They broke dependencies of my ics2rem script :-( (a lot of Perl stuff is
missing in the NetBSD 8.0).
On the other side, the Midnight Commander is well configured (an ability to
read PDF files from MC is sometimes very useful).
SC spreadsheet:
It seems that NetBSD keeps the traditional 6.21 version of this spreadsheet.
The later versions have different behavior so I like this one (I have this
particular version installed on the most of my computers including all my
SGI boxes and even the PSION MC600).
