Bywater BASIC and IRIX 5.3
==========================

In short: IT WORKS!

A bit longer story: the version of the "bwbasic" is 2.20 and it was taken from
Debian sources (found via the Veronica 2). It's the same version that I use on
the rest of my boxes. It's not the best nor the fastest BASIC version but it
works well for me. I use it for initial testing of my BASIC tools (before any
attempt to port the to one of my Electronicas or to SmallBASIC on the Palm
computers). If you are curious why I'm not using the SmallBASIC on the desktop
then the reason is simple. I'm not able to port any version of the SmallBASIC
to the IRIX. :-( But it should be possible to port the SmallBASIC to the Zaurus
(I never tried to do it - I use the "bwbasic" instead).

And as you might imagine at the moment I'm using the IRIX Indigo (oh, it's
labelled the Siemens Nixdorf RW320, of course) to write this post and to play
with BASIC.
