Long time no see. Apologies for the lack of posts in the past week. I
just haven't felt like writing much. I guess I should get back into the
game. I'm frustrated with most of the same stuff as I always am - not
getting texts back when I message someone, not having a boyfriend, etc.
Stupid stuff, y'know. So not much has changed there.

The only real noteworthy thing I've done in the past week is meet with
President Pearigen about the Computer Club's petition to get Computer
Science back at Millsaps. We got 125 signatures, with 7 students saying
that they would be willing to leave Millsaps to pursue it. He told me
that he would read it, show it to the Dean of the College and the
executive board, and get back to me. They're currently looking at
programs to cut and implement (the same thing they did in 2011 when they
got rid of Computer Science), so hopefully CS makes its way in as a new
major and minor. I get why it was cut in 2011. CS was really on the
downfall before the Internet of Things became a thing and people got
interested again. Technology also wasn't nearly as prevalent in
everyone's everyday lives as it is now. It really was a dying horse. But
I hope that they make the smart decision to bring it back.

Other than that, I ended up setting up a VPS on Vultr so that the
Computer Club's RasPi could be accessed over SSH off-campus. I'm a bit
annoyed by the amount of bots that keep trying to get into my Vultr VM,
but I have a firewall set up and also have SSH on a port that's not 22
(which sucks that I have to do in the first place). I should probably
also disable the root account, but it's useful, y'know.

I don't feel great today, but I have started to feel *better*. I need to
exercise more than I do and eat better than I currently am, and I think
that my body will try and make a nice recovery. I've been getting
compliments from my friends on my hair, which makes me happy because it
means what I'm doing to restore it *is* working. I see a ton of little
hairs all along my hairline getting more visible and longer, so it's
pretty nice. Maybe in a few years I'll have a full head of hair again.
Who knows. "An old young man makes for a young old man," as my good
old friend Benjamin Franklin put it.

Maybe that's a little too ironic to say, considering the fact that I'm
younger than most of the people on SDF.

Random, but...
My view on age:
< 19 (my age): Fetuses
= 19: My age. Will be a fetus on June 29th
< 25: Children in trenchcoats
< 30: Beginning to Adult
< 49: Young but with an old-timers complex
< 65: Young enough to still do something. Old enough to be wise
> 65: Gets benefits most days of the week. Probably shouldn't be
     involved in politics though.
< 75: Hurting but still good to be alive.
> 75: Probably old. Maybe not. Still time to have fun, but unwilling to
     believe it
> 100: Probably less full of crap than the current 75 year olds
> 150: Me when the Lord forgets to take me.

Also, my HELP grant finally cleared, so hopefully I'll get my check
soon that will actually give me gas money to go home for Spring Break
(not that I have a choice, but still).

Now then, on with my pursuit of a new Tomo...
