# [2021.07.21] Tourrette-Levens

After seeing an advertisement on a tram, I decided it could be a good
idea to visit Tourrette-Levens, a village not far from Nice. It's a
so-called village perché, because it sits on the mountain, around an
old castle. The whole trip cost us nothing, since a bus goes to the
village from the bus station, and all the museums are free.
Tourrette-Levens is an incredibly cosy place. We saw children playing
board games in a local park, which is hard to imagine in most cities
nowadays. Also, they call it a village, but there is a music school
there. Not every town can boast of having such, I guess. It looks
like living in a French village might be quite a good idea. Castle
itself lies partly in ruins, but the overall atmosphere makes
Tourrette-Levens undoubtfully worth visiting.
