These words were written in chalk on the wall of some structure of
unknown purpose at a Lutheran graveyard. It's famous for being
depicted as a place of gathering of local drunkards in the film Брат
(Brother) from the 90s. My cousin-in-law and I decided to take a walk
around several old and renowned cemeteries of Vasilyevsky Island. At
the Orthodox one, I accidentally found a tomb of the father of
Nicholas Roerich, the monument to whom we saw later in one of the
parks we strolled around.
