# [2020.01.03] Helsingfors

When I was to Helsinki for the first time two years ago, I didn't
feel like returning here one more time. But today we revisited
Finnish capital to discover its Nationalmuseum and SpÄramuseet (the
tram museum). We also visited the world-famous Rock Church, although
I didn't find it particularly impressive. On the contrary, the
National Museum of Finland happened to be genuinely interesting.
Unlike Sweden, Finland tasted all the bitterness of the infamous
Winter War against the Red Army, and then a devastating economic
crisis related to the fall of the USSR. Unlike Russia, Finland met
the third millennium with Nokia's best-selling cell-phones instead of
favourably solving the Karelian question. Sometimes having more
territories doesn't help but, unfortunately, not every government
understands that.
