Today I managed to rewrite my semigroups-related code a bit to make
it use an associator loss. The original idea was to show a partly
filled Cayley table to a neural network and ask it to guess the
original as fully as possible. Now a part of knowledge about what
associativity is has gone to the loss function. I believe that this
problem formulation is closer to what we humans do.
