Some changes are coming in the structure of the lab. I think I'd
better start teaching myself some deep learning since here there
won't be any other worthwhile project related to recommender systems.
Applying neural networks to recommender systems is likely to be
futile as a scientific and/or engineering effort, but it could be
quite useful in terms of my own professional career.
