# [2018.12.24] BlackBerry KEY2 LE

My BlackBerry PRIV stopped working entirely. And it's quite
difficult even to find a decent service centre in Moscow since
there're no official distributors of BB in Russia. That's strange,
but I like physical keyboards. So my wife convinced me that I
deserve a new phone as a New Year present or something like that.

LE stands probably for 'light edition'. It's much cheaper than
original KEY2, and as far as I understand the main differences from
the more expensive models are the back surface (the material is not
so pleasant) and that the keyboard is not touch-sensitive. Well,
that are really minor things for me, although they can be great
perks sometimes. The main point for me, of course, is that you have
a real keyboard (even with a CTRL key if you want it). And I'm a fan
of CTRL:) Because that means that you can use Termux without nearly
any additional virtual keys since Bash supports CTRL combinations
for history and line navigation. BB still doesn't have a decent ALT
key (it has one only to type more symbols --- it doesn't work as a
META key in Emacs, for example) but all in all, I'm happy with it.

And yes, it has a fingerprint sensor and comes with the Firefox
Focus pre-installed.
