# [2018.09.30] Petrissage

Hip-hip-hurrah! Today we eventually started learning most effective
and also most time and energy consuming family of classic massage
techniques. I'm glad:) Glad more than disappointed by some
discussions taking place during class. For example one sporty girl
asked about some really dangerous fractures which she received in a
car accident many years ago. That's might be important to her, but
c'mon, most people would never heard of such things in their
lifetime. Why I need to hear discussions of her bones? And even more
to that, our instructor is hopefully brilliant masseur but he is not
a doctor after all. Yes, he graduated medical college and has solid
and practical knowledge of human body functions related to his job
but sometimes I feel like sitting among some religious sect adepts,
listening to their omniscient leader, really:) The instructor never
says very simple but strong phrase: 'I don't know.' Understanding
what you know and when you can give advice is inherent to wisdom in
my opinion. But again, my main goal is actually learning how to
_give_ a massage and training petrissage techniques with live models
and live instructor who can show you how to hold and move your hands,
correct you and even make you do everything properly are purely
invaluable for me. So I just don't give a fuck to all these cool
stories and take most of practice sessions.

Also I finished reading Mr. Leveck's phlog and twitpher. Thanks to
that I know about SDF, byobu, archive.org and many things. And partly
reading his gopherlog inspired me to start mine.
