As of a week ago I was introduced to the both SDF and the gopher protocol in
more than a passing way, and here I am making a gopherhole on sdf :)  These
phlogs seem like a nice sort of social network that is away from the hubub of
traditional social media.  I get the feeling most users here are probably of a
similar mind.

I've got interests in software development, computer security, metal and
woodworking, among others.

I like to talk politics but try my best to stay out of the red-team/blue-team
arena, since that usually ends up as more of a boxing match than a conversation
in my experience.  Akin to what Andrew Heaton of the Political Orphanage podcast
says, I don't think I'm wrong about things, but if I am I want to be wrong for
as short of a time as possible.
