I really like gopher and how easy it is
to publish to it. I've been looking for a
platform like this for a while.

How can I publish my thoughs and ideas while
staying in text-mode only. I had started a
wiki using vim and vimWiki and published that
to open3.cc, my main 'lab'. But still there
were too many steps to make it fluid. Then adding
images made it even more complex.

Yes, you can call me lazy. I know many people who
spend hours creating their digital garden and
designing a beautiful experience. I am not there.

I don't have much desires to spend more time
on the computer. So a minimal solution for me is
the best.

With text only it's also simple enough to back it
up to different device. And I like spending time
in vim, with Goyo.

I just read on xiu's[1] phlog about digital garden.

That was a concept I first discorvered when I came
accross the collective 100 rabbits[2] on mastodon.
It inspired me to have host my own writeFreely instance
and then work on publishing my own wiki with vimWiki
but since then abandoned the idea. I still hope to
publigh to my writefreely instance, when I want to
write more in depth articles, with images and videos.

With gopher, I realize that I am not yet too clear
on how I want to organize my space. I like the regular
update, but there is also another part that is not time
based. A garden and a log.

Some ideas I write about I want to come back to
them at a later date, while others I want to
keep them under a certain category. A lot of my
meditation and yoga 'ideas' can be expanded upon
and refined, while my poetry could be organized in
different section. My life stories can also be organized
in different section, yet again in a certain order.

I'll start a digital garden in a separated space and
see how that work. Later in the year I would probably
merge my main gopher map with the digital garden.
