I'm only counting books I'm actively reading, I usually have several
books on the go at once, where I will swap and change or maybe read a
chapter here or there when it takes my fancy. Some of those I've been
reading for several years

Book 14 of The Horus Heresy
I've read some of the Warhammer 40,000 Horus Heresy books already,
plus all the Siege of Terra books. In total there are something like
54 books in total, so I have around 40 to go.
