 So, I don't really follow Gemini happenings all that much, mostly because I
lost interest in the protocol after things kept going down involving some
puritanism from certain people. It was kind of a mood-killer for me. But one
Drew Devault has posted that he's going to step away from Gemini[0] because, to quote:

"If I don't want to read Gemini, I don't want to write Gemini either. I don't
think that's fair to the Gemini community. It would be better to participate
from both ends, and if I only find myself enjoying the writing side of it,
then I don't think that forms a good relationship with the community."

 That's a perfectly fine reason to give, and I wish him all the best of luck
in his endeavors[1]. But the some in the community seems to have let it get to
them, and all I can say is "Why?". Why let something like that drag down the
community?

 Yeah, a proponent and promoter of the protocol is going to stop contributing,
but that shouldn't stop anyone from enjoying it themselves. That shouldn't stop
anyone from contributing to the community in his place. It really shouldn't.
This sort of thing didn't kill Gopher, didn't kill the Web, and won't kill
Gemini.

 Just keep doing what you do, Gemini. Even if I don't use it myself, options
and alternatives are always welcome in this world of tech, and in the smol net,
you guys are one of the newest. And you've come a long way in a short time.
Don't let one person's decision take the wind out of those sails. There's far
more of you in the community to take up any slack that appears.
