Been meaning to get back to this, but two falls, lots of interruptions, and a
bit of hardware failure kinda got in the way.

First of all, thanks to jmcbray for sending me an email about borgmatic[1],
which automates Borg Backup[2]. I've yet to drag my Linux laptop out to try it,
but it looks very promising. And sorry I haven't gotten back to you, jmcbray. I
haven't been able to send messages due to something going on with my account.

Second, tomasino brought up the music star Poppy[3]. Yeah, there's a *massive*
thing going on with her in the background, my friend. I highly recommend
watching Nick Nocturne of the Night Mind channel talk about her[4] when you get
the chance. It's one heck of an awesome little alternative reality story that
came from it.

Third, my Dell XPS 410 has gone out of commission for the time being, meaning
I can't do too much in the way of gaming. It's coming up with "bad ram" POST
codes, so at least one of the DIMMs is bad. Once I've recovered from falling
(minor injuries both times it happened), I'll have to figure out how many are
gone, and order some replacements. Thankfully, PC2-5300 won't break my wallet.
At least I can still play "Star Trek: Birth of the Federation" on my iMac's
BootCamp install.

And finally, I now have a new goal for a project I wanna try and work on at
some point. A classic-style all-in-one with the computer built into the
keyboard. The idea is to get a Logitech K120, put it in a custom wooden case,
shove a Raspberry Pi in there, and use it for some old-school gaming, for basic
writing (`nano` and `wordgrinder`), gopher and `lynx` browsing, IRC, etc...
Literally, something I can slide onto my desk, hook to a monitor, and just work
from it. If possible, I wouldn't mind running it under Gentoo or a BSD, just to
make sure installing something like weechat-purple doesn't require all of X
like it does under Raspbian (which is /so/ bloody stupid...).

I also want to make some custom badges for it. In particular, the name badge:
"Dragonic:70". I even have some ideas for the design. Something similar to the
Dragon Data's "Dragon32" badge, though with my personal emblem to go on it.
And maybe my "Prism Dragon Studios" emblem as well, for when I start that up.

But that's something for the future. For now, I have other things to focus on.
