Focusing on the essential

It's done.  Finally, at the beginning of this month, with one month's
notice, I announced to my boss that I quit my shitty job.  Thanks to
the insistence of my wife and even my parents.  And I will not take a
new one, so I can center myself on what is important at the moment.

I have managed to get all the bills paid until May, maybe even June if
the company pays me what it owes me in unused paid leave.  This gives
us with more than two, maybe three months of peace of mind.

More time.

Yes, more time to devote to my family first.  Until now, because of my
erratic schedule and all the hours I had to do, my wife was mainly
taking care of our baby.  That on top of her daily job.  And this is
starting to weigh on her health.  Nothing dramatic yet, but the signs
are here.  I will be able to be much more present and unload her so
that she can take care of herself: take him to the nursery, pick him
up, play with him, sleep him, go to the park in family on weekends,
etc.

And the rest of the time, I will concentrate on my exams which are
slowly but surely approaching.

21 more days to go.
