Since I had to go to work yesterday just after the technician came to
install the fiber at home, I didn't really took the time to put my
little server online. So I made it today.
I'm really fond of it. It's just a Raspberry Pi 3B but it serves me
well. Its main purpose is to give us a Wi-Fi access point at home.
But I use it too as a Gopher and HTTP server. I'd like to use it as a
NAS as well but there's no USB3 port on this one. And a NAS on USB2 is
not very efficient. I'll have to buy a Pi 4 for that. Well, it's not
really important, I do without, so I'm not even sure I'll upgrade my
present configuration.
I can't say it's a big deal. I don't use complicated things, no
Docker, virtual environment, etc. It's just handmade with basic and
simple services. But, as it is, self-hosting makes me happy.
