It is now my fourth week working as a SWE, and its been alright.

My programming/technical ability is definitely up to snuff, but
there's still a lot I have to learn about regarding domain knowledge
pertaining to the industry. I'll keep reading through our internal
wiki to put together my own model of the system though.

In other news... I applied for an apartment and got accepted! I'm
going to be moving from the Southwest-side to the west of downtown.
To my Chicagoans... from Archer Heights near Midway to Bucktown.

Looking forward to finally having a more permanent space + my own
furniture. But I will be bumming it out with a just a bed and a desk
for a while. Now I have to figure out the what/when/wheres of the
furniture I need to get.

I'm thinking of getting a big desk so I can have my desktop and a
side area for my work laptop. Though WHERE to get such a desk is the
question of the hour.

I'll probably go with the Ikea "Wooden countertop placed on two
drawers" desk. I'm moving in on the 2nd of September so I still have
some time to figure this out so,

we will see.
