1. How would you describe sleep to an alien?
Sleep usually happens in a comfy, cosy portal we call a bed. Sleep
itself is an escape to another place, where strange things might
happen that you won't remember well. When you return you will
hopefully feel rested, but probably not, so you'll lie around
for a bit and then get up to make some coffee.
2. What in your opinion is a fascinating cultural tradition or
practice?
I live in Cornwall, at the tip of the UK, again now... where there
are far too many weird traditions to choose from. So, I'll choose one
from Devon. On 5th November, rather than just burn the effigy of
Guido Fawkes, the good people of Ottery St Mary run through crowded
streets full of drunk people... while carrying flaming tar soaked
barrels on their shoulders.

3. What's a beverage you loved, but was discontinued?
Hmmm. I don't know any I love that have dissappeared. When I was a
kid I used to enjoy Panda Pops brand blue raspberryade, though. I
haven't seen that for a long time.
4. Have you ever experienced a "healing crisis" or withdrawal
symptoms while recovering your health?
Not that I can recall.
5. Have you recently had a rediscovery?
Having recently moved back to where I grew up, life is full of
rediscovery of places at the moment. I'm rediscovering all of the
beaches of the Cornish coast that my parents took me to as a kid, and
now I get to drag my wife and kids to them :-)
