Strike the earth!

I am a Hacker interested in Computer Security and Programming Language
theory.  I also have dabbled in Machine Learning for what its worth.

I greatly enjoy computer and software history and am also interested
in the human element in computing. I suppose it's HCI but I have had
no formal education on the subject. It is more within the realm of
social issues and computing (or just social issues in general). If I
am to live my life working on computers, it shall be to the benefit of
my community, of the people I know. And as a trans woman, I know that
community is important.

I think this community is a great example of how social networks
should work prior to the realization that there's money to be made off
of exploiting your users.

Finally, I have a lingering interest in Plan 9 but have not had much
of a chance to use it. The underlying ideas of the OS are fascinating
and I would love for it to become more popular (so that I can use it
as a daily driver ;]).
