Although I seem pretty determined to turn down the opportunity to work
at Duku (another Initial D company after Douban), they were insisting
that I visit their office and have another chat. So, yesterday I went
there, arriving a little late, which was thankfully not taken as an
offensive attitude.
The result of the conversation, is that I am now pondering the
possibilities of the current job and the prospect at Duku. I have
until Friday to figure it out. Would a pro/con list be enough? Or
should I do a SWOT analysis?
Usually, one prefers the status quo. But even given that I have
rediscovered the meaning of the current job, Duku looks like something
too good to pass. They seldomly recruit openly, and they are one of
the best places an editor can work at.
This would become my lengthiest article if I write in it everything I
am weighing about this issue. It is suffice for now to say that
considerations for the family complicate things a lot. Perhaps an
analysis starting from the self, and gradually including the loved
ones and the others, would be better.
