[2021-09-03] Men's Country
==================================================
First, a sad and enraging piece of news: in Xi'an, a metro security
personnel dragged a woman off the train for bickering between this
woman and another passenger. In the process, this male security staff
ripped off the woman's dress, leaving her mostly naked on the
platform. Despite the obvious misbehaving of the security, and as an
extension, the Xi'an Metro, they are not sued or criticized. Instead,
the woman was humiliated on the social network.
Second, another piece of news: the state is banning the appearance of
effeminate men on TV. The official reason is that their image may give
bad influences to the young audience.
Third, an observation. You can't write "sexual harassment" "sexual
abuse" anywhere in WeChat. So it's impossible to talk about crimes
related to sex, without using euphemisms, on the largest chat network
in China.
See, it is a constant struggle for women, if they want to make their
voice heard, if they want to have some basic rights, if they want to
have some dignity. Meanwhile, all these seem to be granted to men.
