[2021-09-02] Boring tech ftw
==================================================

For the past month I have been ssh'ing into SDF and do most of my
*nixy stuff here. A pure TUI sometimes feels limiting, though. And the
connection can get unstable. Therefore I am often lured by GUI
note-taking solutions.

Today is one of the occasions when I looked at Joplin and thought
about whether it works better with my workflow. But I guess I have
reached the age when mere newness doesn't convince me. I have found a
working note-taking solution [0] for my SDF setup and accumulated
dozens of notes. I don't really want to export/import them and edit
all those links.

So boring tech wins again. Except nb is not really boring. Powered by
bash and a few well-designed tools, it is actually exciting to use.
