He is a young man who went to the best schools and top tier
universities. He graduated with bachelors and master's degrees in
Computer Science.
He had no criminal history and by all accounts had a bright future
ahead of him. And now he will be prosecuted and locked up for a
long time...as he should.
However, that doesn't change the fact that this smart, capable,
and intelligent man took a look at our fundamentally broken healthcare
system here in America and had so much cynicism, helplessness, or
nihilism in his heart that he decided that the best solution he
could think of was to murder a healthcare executive.
If we are lucky, he will be the outlier like the unabomber that
Luigi professed to understand.
If we are unlucky...then he is a warning.
how many young people will despair at the world we have left them
and decide to act as Luigi did?
