As already phlogged, I have been recovering from a hernia operation
since the 18th of January this year.  It has been more painful and
debilitating than I ever expected.  Anyway, my hobbies are mucking
around with computers, bike riding and weight lifting.  During my
recovery I have not done any bike riding or weight lifting until last
week.

I have gingerly started both again.  Bike riding is always fun, but my
aerobic fitness has dropped substantially.  My weightlifing has been
more challenging as I am petrified of re-injuring myself - so I'm
being quite conservative at this statge.  Time will tell.

The most worrying outcome from this period of inactivity is that I've
packed on 5kg of extra weight.  I've got to get rid of that!
