Well I've been back at work for a week now and have nearly caught up
with everything that wasn't done while I was on holidays.  Of course,
someone else was delegated to perform my role while I was gone, but it
never really works out for many reasons - one of which is because I'm
irreplaceable ;-)

As I get older it is getting harder to return to work after a break.
Quite a few of my friends are the same age as me and are transitioning
to retirement.  I seem to be the only one still working full time as
well as doing a lot of on-call work.

As it turns out, once I get back to work and get back into the
routine, I don't mind it most of the time.  I'm grateful that my job
is quite challenging at times, the pay's not too bad and it's
interesting.
