It's been a little bit- I've been pretty busy lately. Actually, let me go check the most recent phlog to see where I left off.
Ok I'm back
Yeah so last time I had those friends visiting. It was fun! They stayed a little longer and we all drove em back home at the end of their break. It was a sort of sudden choice to do so- we only had a few days notice that we were going to do it.
I was fine with that, though. It was a nice road trip and SO and I needed to go home at some point anyway. We took our drive back and though it was long it was pretty uneventful. Just good times kicking it with everybody, took us only a few days
My week back home was good, got to spend some time with my family and in the office. We hired a new person recently, so I'm not the new guy at work anymore. Hurrah! Frankly, I thought it would be much longer before they hired another person. It's a pretty small company, so I thought that I was their big investment of the year. Maybe they're just replacing me but haven't told me yet. Anyway, he's pretty friendly- we share a name actually.
The drive back down was tiring also. We had another friend visiting us now, and so he helped do much of the driving. I like to say he's one of those people with an encyclopedic mind- very intelligent, and would probably be quite good at trivia. Most of all he's a good friend of mine and fun to jam with. He primarily plays bass, but brought a few other fun things (an otomatone, as well as a small drum machine) so we'll mess around with those while he's here. We talked about Ween for a bit today while I did some work for my company.
My fainting event is still a work in progress, with regard to diagnosis. I haven't actually fainted again since the first night, but about a week after it I was up all night with chills and intense nausea. While driving us back down here, I got the sense that it may happen again, so I pulled over hastily. I've set up an appointment with a neurologist, but I couldn't get an appointment for a month and a half. Hopefully if I just take it easy it won't get worse in the mean time. The person on the phone was a little rude to me when I was setting up the appointment- I asked if there was any way that I could get an appointment sooner, and she replied that I should have called sooner. I informed her that during part of that time I was actually in the hospital, being seen for the fainting spells- she didn't really have anything to say, but put me on a waiting list at least. I'm sure she was just having an off day- I did call pretty early in the morning.
At any rate, I think I'll be fine for that span of time. I'll have plenty of work to do, and my friend is visiting in the mean time. Plus I recently caved and was peer pressured into buying a switch, which has been fun. Mario party all stars is nice because I used to play a lot of N64 mario party in high school with some of my friends. It's cool to see the remastered versions of those games, as well as the gamecube ones. nostalgic, but with a lot of new content, which is how a remake like that should be I think.
Anyway, I've got to sort out dinner plans. I'm hoping to phlog more recently, but we'll see- I've been so busy, I've used 3 streak freezes on duolingo in just the past 2 weeks.
