What's up party people

I haven't been very good at being consistent with my phlogging. Maybe I was just doing it previously because I wanted to have a place to put my thoughts, and no longer felt I needed that. I guess the whole point of any journal is to have a place to put your thoughts- though I think it'd be good for me to continue doing that, personally. For one, I have a pretty bad memory, and I also think it helps me organize my thoughts and feelings when I can't do it internally. Furthermore, maybe someone will enjoy reading through it in their free time- maybe not, but who knows.

I've had a fine week. Still dealing with that medical stuff I was working with earlier- fainting, feeling faint and such. Got a sweet bill in the mail for my recent visit to the ER over it, would have been nice if they could have given me any thoughts or advice on it at all really- rather, they pretty much just said come back another time and asked me for thousands of dollars. To the specialists it is, then.

PUP dropped a new single today, it was fine- the music video was pretty entertaining, i'll say. They've released 4 singles now in anticipation of their newest ablum, and I'm pretty stoked about it- 3 of the 4 (the 4th being this one from today) have been sweet. Maybe this one will grow on me, to be fair- that happens to me a lot with artists I like, where I'll be lukewarm about a new song until I've heard it a few times. So far the two singles I've liked the most were "Kill Something" and "Waiting". Actually, I just looked and this was the fifth song they've released- at this point they've basically dropped a whole album, huh? Anyway, great songs- I'm looking forward to their full release.

Another band I'm keeping an eye on is "Prince Daddy and the Hyena". I've been obsessed with their music since I first listened to them, and they've had an album fully recorded for like half a year now- apparently they've had label problems in the past which have caused delayed releases, but it seems like this one is actually on its way out now. They've dropped two singles "Curly Q" and "A Random Exercise in Impermanence (The Collector)", both of which I'm crazy about. Honestly, the two songs couldn't be any different, but it exemplifies the two sides of the band that I'm obsessed with- The somber, measured, and nostalgic sound of Curly Q, paired against the hectic, aggressive, and anxious sound of The Collector, which man that shit just gets my blood pumping. I don't know what it is but it like puts me into some kind of elated state when I hear it.

Currently I'm listening to Oso Oso. I've heard about them a lot but never really given them a listen- it's pretty enjoyable. I could see myself getting into em, so I'll throw them onto a playlist somewhere. I find if I don't put a new band I'm listening to onto any playlist at all I'll quickly forget about them and hear them months later only to ask myself "damn, why didn't I listen to this sooner?"
