Hey hey hey
howdy
welcome

this is my gopher place where I can just type and type away
I've been looking into gopher for the past week or so and it seems really neat so I thought I'd give it a go. I've made my SDF account and have
been toying around with it for the past few days. It's interesting to me, the idea of a public access computer that isn't in a library- rather
one you connect to from your own at home. Maybe it shouldn't be, since I figure this is how a lot of computing used to be- but that was before
my time.

Today I spent most of the day tutoring. I tutor little goblins in programs such as MIT's scratch and roblox, specifically on how to code. If
you haven't tried either of those programs, I recommend it- I find it pretty entertaining anyway. It was a usual day of tutoring, though.
moving through the lessons I've been tasked with teaching. I'm usually not great with kids, but I find it easier when I have some distance from
them.

Between classes today I decided it was finally time to cook up the 10 or so humungous chicken legs I bought the other day. Since I had another
lesson shortly, I rushed the process a little bit and I worry that some of them were slightly raw still. I ate 5 regardless, so please if
you're reading this pray for me.

I should note, while I'm much less technically inclined than most of the people I see in the gopherverse I like to think I'm learning a lot.
I've been following nm03's phlog for the past few weeks now- I don't know why, but I find their writing style and choice of topic really
enjoyable to keep up with. That, as well as the fact that I studied abroad in Tokyo back when I was in university. Seeing it referenced in such
a casual manner brings me back to it, I guess.

Apparently you can set up your SDF account to send and receive emails. Maybe I'll try setting that up as my next project.

For now, smell ya later
