subj: 5150 suicide attempt medical industry helpless

I got a all 7:30am my sister attempted to kill herself. She used
a kitchen knife to slit her wrist. She came downstairs to the
neighbors house with her wrist wrapped. The neighbor asked what
happened if she had an accident, and she told him no she is
fine. I think she was asked if she cut herself but she didn't
answer. He told her he was calling 911. He did. My sister
responded by telling him to cancel 911 because she will be taken
to ASH. She tried to convince him she was fine.
The neighbor said there was a lot of blood, in her bed, in the
bathtub, all over her clothes. There were multiple outfits on
the bathroom floor.
My sister is being held and is in stable condition, there is no
permanent damage even though she had multiple cuts on her wrist.
At the hospital she refused to talk to anyone about what
happened. She is refusing to talk to the psych evaluator.
The psych evaluator called me to ask if I knew anything, but I
don't all I was able to provide is that my sister has been
having hallucinations since her surgery.
So so so sad. I have no idea what to do yet. I was told she will
likely be released within 48 hours.
I don't understand this. I can't really believe it. Why is this
happening. Why did the hospital and medical people do this to
her!?
I don't have much family and my sister is trying to exit the
world before her time!
I just can't imagine what she is going through :( :( and I don't
even know if she understand it herself. She doesn't seem to have
a enough grasp on reality to understand or discuss it with
anyone.
