subj: baby farts fast days

We feed our babies because they have insatiable appetites. As
the baby fills its belly it slows down the gulping. They get
this face like a drunk person having drank way way to many
beers, and they are trying to finish their last beer. They can
barely finish the meal. Then we burp the baby and a moment later
they suddenly have more energy and room in their belly.
Eventually they do fill up, and at that point they go into a
food comma. The comma doesn't last that long. If I hold the
baby, they are likely to fall asleep and relax, but with twins
this isn't always possible because they like to feed about the
same time. So its burp and sit them in a bouncer so they aren't
laying down ready to eject all the food they drank. Between ten
to thirty minutes they come out of the comma and begin to look
as if they are going to spew all the food. They get bright red
all over, and make a funny grimacing face with their mouth
frowning and their tongue almost out. They look kinda like a red
frog face. This looks like it hurts, and they do this for
another thirty minutes, and then fall asleep.
After an hour during sleep they start to make all these noises,
its not easy to describe, squeaks, grunts, almost laughter,
quick breathing, then farts. The farts and other noises go on
and on from thirty minutes to an hour. Then just a few noises
like some strange baby chatter/laughter. Its so hilarious. Its
like being in the room with crazy people.
Nearing the three hour mark from last feed they start to wake
up. Waking up takes awhile, possibly thirty to forty minutes. If
they go all the way to three hours or over, they come out of
their waking up state in an extremely hungry state. Usually they
wave their arms all over the place, move their head back and
forth, sometimes it looks like the hit themselves in the face as
they frantically wave their arms. Then the yelling/crying out
starts. I pick up the baby and they arch their back red in the
face and look for food. Anything that is near their head they
sense it and attempt to latch onto what they think is the food,
this could be a binky. If its a binky they push it out of their
mouth, but if I hold it there they think its where the food
comes out. They furiously suck the binky and eventually it falls
out of their mouth, yelling occurs and I stress as the bottle
isn't warm yet. Then the twin starts waking and its two hungry
babes. We repeat this process over and over.
In between we get a moment to make formula, wash bottles, or any
other task we can get to. Before we know it the day went by so
fast, its time for to say good night to my wife at 5:30 PM, or
good night to myself at 12:30 AM or sometimes later.
The days are go by fast, and the baby farts are heard over the
monitor, I laugh, and know tomorrow will be just as fun as
today.
