Did you know your dad was a nerd?
I'm guessing that by the time you read this, you will have a firm grasp on that idea.
I started using a computer when I was about 11 years old.
An old IBM Portable computer that weighed about 40 pounds.

The preceeding link was my first PC.
It was my window into a world of logic and structure.
Something that I felt I was lacking, in large part due to my heavily religious upbringing.
You see, I was not well wired for religion, and logic in religion is subtly (Or sometimes not so subtly) discouraged in
favour of blind faith.
This didn't work for me.
So computers filled that void very quickly.
