# Key Bored - alfred's Gemlog
I enjoy trying different keyboards, but as a regular numpad user, my daily driver has 104 keys (Logitech K120; I had a modern Model M, but it didn't last as long as expected for the price).
When traveling, I'll bring Logitech's K400r or the Raspberry Pi keyboard.
Lately, I've been tempted by this 47-key ortholinear with mechanical switches:

But it's probably too awkward for me to master, unless used daily. And adding the missing =-'+_" characters with QMK/VIA looks daunting.
Perhaps a more suitable small mechanical keyboard would be a standalone version of the Pi 500 Plus, if ever offered.
