The Joy of Anonymity

It's been a while since I've written here. I didn't lose interest
in gopher--quite the opposite! I've been phlogging on my personal
domain rather than sdf. I wanted to dive deeper into the protocol,
so I decided to set up my own server (tried both gophernicus and
geomyidae) and wrote my own client.

At this point, I now have two gopherholes--my personal one and
my sdf one. I _thought_ about mirroring my personal one here,
but it occurred to me that up until now I've never given my
full name on sdf.

It's not that I'm necessarily trying to hide anything, it's just
one of the things I enjoy about the small web is the anonymity.
With my full name and occupation, you can easily find my LinkedIn
and judge me for my $DAYJOB or appearance. It's refreshing to keep
sdf a space where I'm judged by my words and that alone :)

So I've decided to keep my two gopherholes separate and keep my
full name private. I haven't gone to the same lengths as ~voidnull
[1], so please don't try to dox me.
