Danielo wrote yesterday, "To survive is to
resist."[^1] I want to know if it is a common
phrase or his own.
Some weeks I am too transfixed by what remains
undone to celebrate accomplishment. Writing
here is good in weeks like these.
I should take my car to the guy with the ODB
computer to find out why the e-brake and ABS
lamps stay lit. Autozone and O'reilly won't do
diagnostics due to pandemic. I need to do
taxes, so much more wedding stuff, etc.
It's overwhelming.
This week I did follow up on Bugz' attempts to
get in touch with Senora May about playing
music at the wedding, found John Dolan's
address in my email archive, and wrote to ask
for contact with a journalist he interviewed.
I want to co-author a paper with the
journalist on Turkey's war in Syria. I cleaned
the house before roommate's boyfriend visits
and had the pleasure of speaking with ffuentes
in Chile, learning about VOIP on 32-bit
netbooks.
Cats yowl in night rains. Spring birds make
bright racket in the sunshine. The next three
days I work 12-hour shifts at the hospital.
Next week I'll ask for help with something,
for the pleasure of doing it together.
