no, I attend brook haven college. the money that people sent in was
used to pay for the phone bill on sdf's 4 telephone lines. I also
used the money to buy simms RAM (4mb), a 14.4kbps v.32bis modem .. as
far as parker's accusations of 'hundreds' of dollars, that is a lie...
most of the time I had to pay money on my telephone lines.

he had files set up for his daily summary report... I would put in fake
amounts because I did not agree with his way of doing it. the only
problem is I did not realize he was signing my name and address to all
the nag messages, thus making it look like I was the one asking for
donations.
sdf does not accept donations anymore ... if someone has a piece of hard
ware or something they want to give, they are more than welcome to let
sdf use it. there are no nagging messages, disk limits or time limits..
that is why I removed him.
a little bit about SP, he was invited to help ted and I with sdf... ted
lived at my apartment for about one month ... when sp starting doing
all this control stuff, I got tired of it and removed him. He never put
anything into sdf (monetary or hardware wise).
> Why did you go into hiding?
I did NOT going into hiding... I moved from denton to dallas county
because tuition at BHC is about $200 cheaper if you are 'in-district' ...
plus i wanted to get SWBT instead of GTE for better rates and.. what
i thought better service... but i've learned.

what board? if you mean the sdf administration, it was just Parker and
I ... ted gave up because he did not like sp's methods.
>
> Are you the only one running SDF now?
yes... Its always run at my place of residence since june of 1991 .. I
was down for a short time because of SWBT .. i had to buy the cable and
run it myself ... so much for service. I also had to get a demarcation
strip in a weatherized box ... but the surplus store had some. curretnly
I am recovering from a crash.

> Do you have a newsfeed?
not on line because I have 2.5mb of spool! the crash was a result of
just hardware that can not take it anymore. BTW the administrator at
adaptex (the one who has always given me a feed) said that parker was
out of line for making that post in dfw.general and that adaptex will
always give me a feed.

well.. you can dial in right now... I went through so much bad times trying
to get this 16 port multi I/O board configured.... and now it seems its
going weird... when you first connect it doubles your input characters..
but only for a minute .... some users found that if you press
return a few times to get a new login that you have no problems... someone
suggested a cntrl C or too..
I am getting a SCSI device very soon which will allow me to put news on
line and restore all the old files off the ESDI drive (it went crazy!)

I answered them honestly.

of course you are not! and I am not angry that you believed parkers
post. about SP, he is not really a 'well liked' individual in the
unix community. he was actually invited by the admin meeting (every
month) to not come. this had nothgn to do with sdf or me.. they
invited him not to come for another reason.. I do not know why, and
it really is not my concern.
