               DO THIS FIRST!

Copy FIDO.PQN and NUSQ.COM (if you don't have a copy already)
to another diskette (or hard disk) and UNSQUEEZE the documentation.
Print it out and read all 86 pages several times.

Next unsqueeze (using nusq) all the squeezed files (*.?q?) onto
another diskette and follow the documentation for setting up.
The documentation will give you a fairly detailed method for
bringing up Version 10g of FIDO from the files provided.  These
are SPECIFIC for the DEC Rainbow.  If it doesn't work at first,
keep at it.  As the documentation states: "These manuals stink!".

I can be reached at FIDO#74 (The Bear's Den) at (703) 671-0598.
Drop me a line and let me know how you make-out.

Kurt Reisler - SYSOP - FIDO#74

Other things:
FIDO.PIC - the traditional FIDO logo, usually found in
                  the welcome1.bbs file.

DECMINI.EXE - Public Domain version of Tele-link. Gives
you Telelink, Xmodem, Modem7 and KERMIT.  No room
for documentation, but fairly easy to use.

       NODELIST.EXE - Nodelist maintenance utility. Read NODEROUTE.DOC
(after you unsqueeze it).  Modify nodelist.dat
to fit your area.  Use ROUTEGEN to build a custom
                      routing file.

                       NOTE
RENUM is no longer needed.  Use the SYSOP 8 command to renumber.
