Sadly enough, I suffer from exactly the same problem.  I'm a UNIX C
programmer without a compiler.  I have been pounding at the Internet,
trying to locate the binaries for either cc or gcc (I need binaries
because I have no C compiler with which to create them!) for the 3B2/300.

Suprisingly, I have had some luck.  I downloaded (via anonymous ftp) from
att.att.com (I think) a compressed/tar'd file called gcc3B2.tar.Z.  Upone
decompressing and 'tar -tf'ing it, it appears to be the binaries to
gcc (I don't know what version) for some model of the 3B2.  It might be
for all 3B2's if the binaries are compatible (I'm still new to this type
of machine).  You are *more* than welcome to a copy of it.  I know what
kind of hell it is trying to find something for this machine -- without
having your credit card ready to talk to  AT&T (bastards).

However, each solution seems to create it's own problems.  I now haven't
a means of getting these files onto my 3B2's hard drive!  The floppy
format isn't compatible with *anything*, and I can't seem to get my
Hayes Smartmodem 2400 to work with the either a straight- or cross-
wired 8-wire RJ45 cable!!!  So, I can't even put these files on my
machine to see if they are the right binaries.

Can anybody offer a solution to this problem?  Can you tell me how
to get the Hayes working?  Can somebody just mail me 3B2/300-
formatted floppies with the gcc binaries/source on them?
