I like searching for lesser or unknown gopher sites. Usually I begin
the search by starting at floodgap's [0] or SDF's [1] lists of
sites, then pull up random sites and look for links to other gophers
within those sites.
Two cool sites I found recently are Old Time Radio (OTR)
repositories [2][3]. These are of interest to me because, as I have
mentioned before, I enjoy listening to OTR [4].
Some of the links are to audio files hosted on websites, to handle
these I've found the best combination of modern web/gopher browsing
with Pale Moon, which still supports the OverbiteFF firefox plugin
and also handles audio playback natively. Direct gopher links to
audio files (here using the generic binary selector /9/) still need
to be downloaded, however.
