2020-07-14: Twitter has a hate problem                       rak
================================================================

A week ago I made the mistake of looking at some Twitter
comments supporting the Student Ban. A few clicks later, I came
across a tweet glorifying an attempted murder of BLM protesters
and encouraging vehicle-ramming attacks on protesters. It struck
me as a clear-cut violation of Twitter's rule against glorifying
and threatening violence:

You may not threaten violence against an individual or a
group of people. We also prohibit the glorification of
   violence. [0]

I reported the tweet through their pointy-click interface, and
on Saturday, I made a second written report:

This tweet is a reply to a video in which a motorist
accelerates into protesters with a vehicle (attempted
murder). The tweet glorifies the attempted murder of
protesters ("Glorious!") and explicitly calls for further
vehicular attacks on protesters ("Don't ever stop for these
criminals"). I reported this on July 7, but four days later,
   it is still up.

After submitting the report, I was informed that "If we do find
that the account is violating the Twitter Rules, we will take
action on it". Today, seven days after the initial report, the
tweet [1] still stands.
