Peterbilt 359 Conventional.

It's a tractor rig that was super popular in North
America in the  60s through the 80,  I think. This
plastic   1/24   model   was  a   gift   from   my
parents-in-law some  years back. Started  it after
the Austin, had another kid and a couple of moves,
and like  almost 5 years later  finally cracked it
open  again and  finished it  off.  Green  because
it's a  color I  have right  now.  Sure  happy the
Vallejo paints kept so well all this time in their
eyedropper bottles.

It was  a fun  good build and  I enjoyed  it.  The
parts  were   a  little  bigger  than   some  kits
obviously, which made it a bit easier. A nd I love
those deep chrome truck wheels. A truck engine has
more parts to learn about as I build, than a usual
car one does. Compressor, intercooler, etc. I sort
of  wish  I  had  spent more  time  detailing  the
engine.   The  kit  pictures  had  the  motor  all
painted   one  color,   and  I   just  went   with
that. Maybe I'll do another  one of these one day.
Expensive kit though, for a model.

I really liked looking at  big trucks when I was a
kid, maybe even wanted to drive one. Nowadays with
supply  chains all  messed  up and  a shortage  of
people  who want  to  do  trucking, maybe  there's
never be a better time  for someone like me to get
trained up and  get in one.  But as  it turns out,
I'm not a good driver,  never have been, even just
of regular cars.  Even  the mini-van seems too big
for me, and  I get lost on my way  to the dentist.
And  you know  one of  my worst  fears in  life is
rolling over somebody with a vehicle .  Me getting
in a  big rig sounds  like a  good way to  make my
worst dreams come true. Plus  my kids are a little
extra and  being away all the  time probably would
not help. So probably I won't do that.
