36 - Bought some chain.

And I head out to the Braxon fort again the other
day, for to buy some length of chain. Because
there's this swing hanging by its one side only,
over on what's left of my complex's
playground. And I see that sad old swing every day
out the window from my unit, and sometimes you
just got to fix a thing like that.
When I get there, there are these two elfs sitting
at a picnic table there, playing Uno. And also
knitting. And the knitting they do is somehow
connected to what cards they are playing, which is
kind of cool. I know these two from the complex
across the street from ours, so as I pass by I
wave and I sort of mutter "hi" to them, in their
language, which I hear them say all the time. But
for me to say it in their tongue, it kind of just
slipped out on accident. I wasn't really thinking
And they give me a wave back without looking up
much, but one of the centaur guards snorts a bit
and rolls his eyes, and I feel embarrassed right
away. Better stay in my lane. I go and cut my
chain and pay at the trailer.
And then one of the Braxon chieftains rolls up by
the curb in some shiny Tahoe, with his tunes and
some girls, and Bil and the centaurs head on over
to hang out. I go and sit with the elfs for a bit,
and they don't seem to mind. I know Uno, but I
don't know anything about knitting.
