First of all, sorry for my english language. Hope I don't make
huge mistakes :)
it's kinda weird, here on the gopherspace I'm finding a LOT of
people that share my own vision of things. People that hate JAVA
and C#, people that LOVE C as the unique TRUE PROGRAMMING
LANGUAGE.
This entire gopher galaxy is stunning - it feels like I'm back
in the '80 - modem connection, 300/1200 baud, X25, bluebox -
avid research for text files to read - informations,
informations, informations...
I'm drinking a beer, setting up our medialab.freaknet.org pubnix
system. It's 20 years old, we're fixing some things, it was shut
down for about 6 months, almost abandoned and unnoticed for
about the last 3 years. Gopher is new life for it! Gopherholes
everwywhere.
For now I don't like the image of the WWW totally excluded - I
prefer a contamination, in which, yes, I absolutely love the
gopher galaxy, but the www stuff sometime can be useful.
It's getting cold outside. They say snow's coming tomorrow!

I remember a long time ago, we were in this spacebase, AUR-0 was called. And
there was discomfort, everyone was leaving. The entire spacebase was going
to be abandoned, wasted forever.
And we went on a meeting, and said, we wanna take this place, shape it as
we want, and start it again, from scratch, and will be beautiful!
And suddendly there was another meeting in wich all the old crew from the
spacebase were eager to keep the base running again - against us.
It was very sad.
And then, we moved.
We moved on. It was sad, but good for us.
