Most Americans Oppose New RKBA Infringements: Two-thirds of people in
the United States think current legislation is enough to control gun
crime, according to a poll by Zogby International. 66 per cent of
respondents think there are sufficient laws on the matter and that
better enforcement is required.

Many Pennsylvania Hunters Minimize Gun-Sale Interruption: Here at
Shyda's Gun Shop, where handguns gleam under glass cases, rifles line
the wall like trophies, and an employee proudly wears a T-shirt
emblazoned with the words "The Right to Bear Arms," most everyone agrees
on one thing: No serious, self-respecting hunter waits until the last
minute to buy a gun.

Federal Regulations Increase Burden On FFL's: The number of Federal
Firearms Licenses, which are required to sell firearms in the U.S., has
fallen 79 percent since 1994, according to the Bureau of Alcohol,
Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The decline is due to more stringent
federal regulations regarding the sale of firearms, increased policing
of firearms dealers by the ATF, as well as hefty fines and penalties for
even the smallest error in the detailed process of recording gun sales.

IRS Ignores Church's Anti-RKBA Billboard Campaign: The parish of the
Chicago priest who threatened to "snuff" a nearby gun dealer has put up
40 billboards calling for several infringements of the RKBA. The IRS
states, "In general, if a substantial part of the activities of your
organization consists of carrying on propaganda or otherwise attempting
to influence legislation, your organization's exemption from federal
income tax will be denied." To date, there is no word that the IRS has
taken action against this church although others that have taken
politically incorrect positions have been contacted.

"Gun Violence" A Political Label: This past weekend there were several
reported stabbings in Albany. Yet not one person or group has called for
an end to "knife violence" in the city? Had four shooting incidents
taken place, the anti-gun folks and others who like to use the
politically charged "gun violence" label would have been all over this.
(In Britain,  the term "knife violence" is used, in conjunction with
attempts to ban the carry of knives and even the ownership of pointed ones.)

From AzCDL:

In a ritual reminiscent of primitive cultures gathering to ward off evil
spirits, followers of the Brady Campaign cult will hold a candlelight
vigil near the Arizona Capitol on August 28th:
http://www.bradycampaign.org/action/trafficking/aug28/

Despite all their rhetoric about "celebrating civil rights," their
objective is to deprive YOU of your most basic "civil right" - The right
to protect your family and yourself.

While the cultists are standing around holding candles and chanting
mindless mantras, we urge all supporters of freedom to "Protect Your
Freedom" by supporting the organization that is successfully rolling
back decades of anti-rights abuse via pro-rights legislation.  AzCDL is
offering the "candlelight vigil" special - anyone who joins AzCDL, or
renews their membership, between now and the end of August will receive
an additional FREE AzCDL T-Shirt (a $15 value!).  Members renewing will
have 12 months added to their current expiration date.
