Well, Maybe Just A Little More "Gun Control"...: Prompted by the
Virginia Tech massacre, a U.S. Congress reluctant to tackle gun control
may pass limited legislation to help keep firearms out of the hands of
the mentally ill, lawmakers and aides said on Sunday. "Given the horror
that happened at Virginia Tech, I think there's a real chance of passing
this," said Sen. Charles Schumer, a New York Democrat, told "Fox News
Sunday."

NRA's Role?: ... The decision hinges on talks between Rep. John Dingell
(D-Mich.), a gun-rights advocate and bill co-sponsor, and the National
Rifle Association, the powerful gun lobby whose support is crucial to
the measure's survival, House aides said.

Cho Not Accurate Shooter: Cho was not especially accurate with his
shots, Massello said, but hit many of the victims several times. His
shots caused more than 100 wounds. Many of the victims had defensive
wounds, indicating they tried to shield themselves from Cho's fire, but
there was no evidence in the autopsies that Cho struggled with any of
the people he killed. (So if Cho had been swarmed by his unarmed victims
it's likely that fewer people would have been shot and fewer people
would have been hit multiple times.)

..And From The University Of Minnesota: Some suggest that protection is
best left to professionals: the police, the military and the
"government." The police are not always where they are needed, and their
response time isn't always on-the-spot. Even when they do arrive, they
are often in the retaliatory and not the prevention business...
