Poll: Americans Don't Need More Infringements: By a slight majority,
respondents in a recent Rasmussen poll stated that that the US does not
need stricter "gun control" laws. (I have to wonder about the missing
nine percent - were they offered the opportunity to say that we need
fewer firearm laws?)

Citizen Rescues Officer: A Louisiana man returned to his vehicle to
retrieve his pistol in order to respond to cries of help from a police
officer pinned on the ground by a man he had just ticketed. Note (a) the
100% hit ratio by the private citizen wearing a neck brace, compared to
the 33% ratio for the officer, who was taken by surprise; (b) the
relative lack of effect of four shots to the chest with a .45 and (c)
the fact that the citizen specifically responded to a call for assistance.
