Lucky Coin Or Lucky .45?: A grandmother in Alaska has been tracking the
robbers who stole her purse, containing, among other things, a "lucky
coin" given her by her grandmother. "They are lucky I didn't have my .45
automatic. I would have blasted them," she said. (One has to wonder [a]
why she didn't have her .45 with her as no permit is required to carry
concealed in Alaska and [b] would she have been carrying it in her purse
and lost it as well?)

Leaving The Scene Of The Crime: A Virginia man has finally been cleared
in a self-defense shooting back in August. (I have to wonder whether the
issue would have been concluded earlier if he had not driven home before
calling police, which may have allowed a friend of his assailant to hide
the assailant's gun. The crime at the scene, by the way, was committed
by the assailant.)
