Harriet Miers supports the RKBA reveals that she was a poor shot with a
45-caliber revolver she once owned.

Bringing A Bat To A Gunfight: A Colorado man, impersonating a police
officer, managed to get a woman to open her door. When she realized her
error, she took up a bat, prompting the intruder to drop his replica
pistol and shift to a knife. The woman's husband then fatally stabbed
the intruder with the intruder's knife. (What you've got between your
ears is likely to make a bigger difference than what you've got in your
hand.)

Oops, Wrong Driver: A 20-year-old Las Vegas man was shot fatally after
robbing an 82-year-old man at a car wash. It sounds to me like that
robbery victim may have been left his handgun in his vehicle, then
tricked the robber into getting into the vehicle with him. If so, it
would likely have been a cleaner-cut case of self-defense if the robbery
victim had shot the robber during the initial phase of the robbery.

Florida vs. Brady Bunch: Florida responds to Brady Bunch leafleting. (I
would be curious to know if any of the legal beagles on the list have
researched how many states still impose a duty to retreat.)

Illinois State Rifle Association Encourages Florida Visitors To Obtain
CWL's: The ISRA is encouraging Illinois residents to obtain Florida
CWL's before visiting that state. This appears to be a move to accustom
Illinois residents to the practice of legal CCW in order to better fight
for it in Illinois

Arizona Club Hosts Course For Kids: The Wickenburg Sportsmen's Club will
hold a one-day course in firearm safety for youngsters on Saturday,
October 22. It is my understanding that federal law requires written
permission from a parent or guardian to lend a firearm to a minor, even
if the parent or guardian is present during its use.

Old Material Reprised In Hawaii: Someone in Hawaii seems to be pushing
to expand the RKBA in that state. Here's some old material from Alan
