Army Recruiter Dies In Accidental Shooting: An Army sergeant was found
dead in Oklahoma in an apparent accident. It appears that a 20 gauge
shotgun discharged while he was removing it from his pickup truck, after
it became entangled in clothing and clothes hangers. Sadly, it appears
that he violated Rule Two - never let the muzzle cross anything you're
not prepared to shoot. Also, it's generally a poor idea to leave rounds
chambered in long guns as most lack the equivalent of a firing-pin safety.

Another Rule Two Reminder: A young Tucson driver was fatally shot
unintentionally by a back-seat passenger who was handling a pistol
inside the vehicle. No doubt, there was also a Rule Three (Keep your
finger out of the trigger guard, up on the frame, until your sights are
on the target and you're prepared to fire.) violation.
